Even that call was wrong.

It was literally at the finish but nowhere else, very lucky with that final bend.

The best thing about this afternoon was my siesta.
Lost time I will never get back.
Blimey, just seen what they are dishing up post stage.
It’s like Question Time only much less interesting.

Why is visma chasing Jonas down

Piganzoli was chasing after the white jersey. Got slaughtered for it on DK TV after the stage

Worried about someone going on a rampage in the mountains tomorrow and taking his KOM jersey

I think it was actually that Eulálio is 5th on GC, and even if you expect a total collapse later, you don't let him get away, just as a point of principle. Might also have been protecting Piganzoli's shot at the white jersey

Stage 19 Feltre - Alleghe (Pezzè Plains). 151 km

It's the big one . I hope to see some actual climbers for a change . Hopefully visma ride defensively. Everyone is saying Passo Giau is the attack point . Who knows .

I would say that when I did the Maratona route I thought it would be plain sailing after the Giau. I was wrong. There is no doubting that it is the hardest climb but following it up with tired legs.... Hmmm.
It could be a breakaway unless Jonas want to put down a marker for Le Tour. Let's face it, he's going to win the stage, if he wants to.

For you and I, I'd agree (although I always found the Falzarego a blessed relief after the Giau!), but the pros don't ever seem to get tired. I expect they'll big ring it up the Falzarego. I have a soft spot for the Duran and Staulanza. Both very pretty climbs. I suppose the Giau is also very pretty as well but I've never ridden it when not chewing my stem.

It's a long descent from the top of the Falzarego to Alleghe (I'm a little bit sad they didn't go all in and have a summit finish on the Fedaia as they're heading down that way, but hey ho), whether that would bring things back together, we'll see I suppose. Looking forward to seeing the Dolomites in all of their glory though. The last time they rode the Giau you could barely see the end of your nose.

If only they could attached the back end of the 2011 stage to the first half of this one. There would be riders scattered in verges all around the Dolomites.

My thinking is that even though they are on another level(s) even they might be chewing their stems if racing full gas.
I certainly wasn't racing! 😂
