Got the box set Christmas..... Started off liked 1 and 2... 3 was okay 4 was poor so I skipped 5 and went straight to the new(ish) one which was quite good

'Serenity' (the sci-fi one). Really quite good. and for real pulp, 'Gun Crazy', absolutely superb. 'Tremors' is good but that is always on.

4 was to some extent redeemed by the training montage and the epic song choice for same.

V was just god awful, and the last scene was just basically a street brawl.
I had a massive gym session and cycle on Tuesday, and the box set arrived in the post that morning. The day was sorted... I watched all six.
Glad they made the 6th one though. Redeemed it to some extent. Good way to finish

You're right about 6 it was gritty with quality dialogue like the first 2.... but 3 and onwards were very glossy with no plot (but 3 got away with it just, simply because Mr T was in it)

Kids were watching some of the original Batman movie this morning, love this bit with a real shark, eventually defeated using shark repellent spray.

I too have a soft spot for This Island Earth - mind you it was 40 years ago i saw it, so might not seem quite so good now.
