Glasgow to Gretna.

The connection between the route 75 and 7 is I understand not complete. Coming from Glasgow, where does 0ne turn off for the 74? is it clear? I do not want to end up in Edinburgh. If I get the turnoff I believe the old A74 has very light traffic now due to the M74 taking it all.

I've never done this particular bit of cyclepath myself, but the split is in Uddingston, and appears to be quite poorly signposted.

You'll be wanting to go straight on along the cyclepath at the roundabout here.

The NCN 74 stops just south of Hamilton. To pick up the southern section you essentially just continue straight on Carlisle Road through Larkhall (B7078). This becomes a wide dual carriageway with very little traffic.
