It's a bit more complicated than that...
@mmmmartin was sporting a fine pair of photochromic old-fashioned cheap-glasses-with-large-frames-from-a-chain-optician a couple of weekends ago, and seemed to find them OK. I've used Optilabs in the past, and am about to attempt to use contacts. If I get on with them (and can get a prescription that works) I'll be using them with plain sunglasses.

Yup, Specsavers, £99, reactive lenses in large black frames. They work a treat in keeping the wind out of my eyes. Comfy frames as well.

I got my cycling glasses (with prescription inserts) from Boots for £90 including 3 interchangeable 'shields' (clear, yellow, dark). Love them.
Adam sometimes uses his photochromatic/reactilights (not sure which is the generic term) but says using them on a bright day with shadows from trees/hedges means you're cycling virtually blind.

I have a high astigmatism + 5.5 so cant get scrip oakley type as they only cater for + - 3 tho i did see a link sugesting there trying to sort this?
so hopefully your only a mild scrip on lenses

i just get thin and light bogof from spec savers..and just get a light tint in one and both pairs are bi focal so i can read and see close up, i get on really well with the Bi lenses
Wrap round would be great but ive not had any sucess finding that option with a curved lens.
i hate the wind in my eyes as TMN does, very annoying
