Inspired by another thread.

Anything you regret doing? Get up to some particularly bad mischief as a kid?

When I was about 8 we were climbing a tall tree when one of my friends fell about 30 feet and lay unconscious on the ground, twitching. Being the big, bad punks we were we all ran off and hid.

He did survive ok, somehow, and no, it wasn't the lad who's tyres we sprayed with Mr Sheen.

Remember those bricks made from foam rubber, all the rage in the early eighties for throwing at the TV etc? well, I was with a group of mates when knew of us threw a brick. Another thought it was one of those foam rubber jobs so went to head it...

We all ran off and hid.

Many years ago I had a chance to go home with Cheryl Cole who was all over me at a swanky club. The next day I was due to go for a early morning bike ride.

Even to this day I'll always wonder what could have been and I do regret my choice....the weather looked lovely from her bedroom window.
what about the language barrier?

Growing up on Army bases in the 70's the novelty of letting off flash bangs in the school playground never wore off.....things were a bit lax back then when it came to ordnance....

I regret all the bad decisions I made in my life.

When I was nine I was mercilessly bullied by a slightly older boy who would follow me home from school every day and torment me. Eventually, to make him stop, I agreed to confront a younger child - I pushed him over and threw his school bag over a hedge. I've always remembered how bad that made me feel, and have wished I could find that boy and explain.

The only positive aspect is that, ever since, I have been acutely aware of what bullying is (and what it isn't). Those who use whatever power they have to persecute or punish without cause those with less power than them are utterly despicable.

Amen. Not in the religious sense though.

One that I regret, I was driving down a long straight road out of Rye towards kent, some may know it, it has a sharp left hander at the end of about a kilometre of straight. Someone passed me at about 80mph. I thought "Twat"
got to the end and going round the corner saw the red lights of the back of a car in the field. still the right way up I knew that much. I carried on. To this day some 20-24 years later it still pops into my mind that I should have stopped.

Young and , well, whatever, it's done now.
Not proud.
