This morning I walked past a car parking on double yellows and blocking a cycle lane starting point.
I pointed out both of these to the lady driver who just smiled at me.

But as I got around the building to the shop car park I was amazed to see her pull in next to me.

I drove past her on my way out of the car park so I wound down the window and said a very nice "Thank You" to which she replied "Thank you for telling me about it" and we exchanged Have a nice day.
Just occasionally people surprise you eh. It made my day.

She obviously fancied you. Watch out to see she doesn't start stalking you.

Sometimes people just need to apologise, they don't always get the chance at that specific moment.
I had a guy approaching a R/A I was already on and had right of way. He was in a newish and expensive sporty BMW. He didn't see me, pulled out and I passed right in front of him, much too close...I gave him a FFS kind of expression and carried on.

About 200 yards up the road he pulled alongside with his window open and genuinely apologied. I was in his blind spot, he just didnt see me.
It means a little extra when someones gone out of their way to put a wrong right.

I rode up the left side of a parked lorry on Sunday. I could see the back wheels were just up on the cycle track but I thought there was enough space to pass. I was wrong, as the cab was pointing a bit left, leaving no gap. I stopped and my brakes squealed a bit. To my surprise, the truck started up, the driver shuffled it about a bit and opened enough space for people to pass. That rarely happens but it's nice when it does. It beats taking a picture and grumbling at the company
