My sis got me a boxed set of Yes Minister. The whole world was beige. No wonder we're all a bit strange...

I love how people make excuses for it like...

    "...OH BUT ITS NEUTRAL..."
    "...EVERYTHING GOES WITH BEIGE..."
"...MAKES THE ROOM SO MUCH BIGGER!..."

    Think I'd have preferred beige!

I remember something like that, although it may have been 60s. Thankfully, only on one wall of the living room.

And I never understood the attraction of having images of crying children on the wall!

The 70's where just so wrong in everything . It amazes me the damage they did to gorgeous Victorian and Edwardian buildings just to make them look really shite .

And the 'modern' buildings stuck into the middle of high streets that, until then, had character.

I'm quite fond of the 70's, fonder of the early 80's and then from the 90's I began not paying attention to what defines an era. I am, at heart, mostly unreconstructed, you just need to dig a little.
