Believe it or not, when I was a very young chap in the '60s, I had knitted swimming trunks.

Even the cars
Sand Glow was the colour, of many Austin-Morris vehicles
A neighbour, when I was a kid, had a Marina saloon in that colour, & his father-in-law had a Marina estate in the same colour

Until Land Rover used that colour for Camel Trophy vehicles, & made it cool again

My dad. many years ago, had a Cavalier, in a far more vibrant colour

So did I good job I had nothing to see when they got wet & soggy & the crotch ended up somewhere near my knees.

I remember the 70s as rather childish at the beginning, and teenagey nearer the end.

I remember my parents having a lamp like this, & a white Televison (B&W) that had a silver (single leg) that flared out into a white base

Or clothes knitted for an older sibling or in my case an older cousin, mind you I did get his Carlton too.

My sis got me a boxed set of Yes Minister. The whole world was beige. No wonder we're all a bit strange...

Yes Minister was first broadcast in 1980.
