GoFundMe - how much to tip??

I haven't used them much, but I'd like to get a handle on their numbers; how much does it really cost them to process our donations? I think the default donation ("Tip") is set to 5%. Or maybe 10%. This seems like a lot for a handling fee. But then again some people won't pay anything. Most? A few?

I am noticing a trend here downunda for charities solicting donations by credit card to ask whether I would like to add an extra amount, usually in the 4 to 5 % range to cover the credit card cost.
I always say no thanks as I prefer to pay by bank transfer without additional fees and they seldom offer this option.
