As others have said Cateye are good and reliable. Not up to date with prices but don't think they are too expensive. I had the wired velo i think it was a few years ago until my bike got stolen.

Cateye Velo and Garmin Edge 705 on one bike and Cateye Strada and Garmin Edge 800 on the other.

All wireless (including the rear wheel cadence sensors fitted to both bikes) and not the slightest problem with any of them.

Garmins look great...........But I am a retired old fart and they cost more than my Triban3!!!

Garmin 200s are not very expensive if you can find one. I saw that Wiggle is out of them but that is the only UK place I looked. I noticed they have them at performance bike here in the US. I also noticed they have placed shipping restrictions on them to some countries, not sure which ones. I did think it peculiar because I had never noticed any restrictions before.

I have used cateye wireless and wired, side by side with Garmins on rides, and there was a little difference in speed and distance but not enough for me to be concerned. Being able to hit a button when you start your ride and again when you end is nice I think. Then just plugging it in and having your data on Strava or Garmin Connect is nice too, along with the comparative and competitive aspects of it.
