But you're still Captain Obvious, as well as Captain Argumentative.

The most likely cycling crash is one all on your ownsome, so studded tyres will take away much of this source of additional risk. Do you think the vehicles add significant risk in these conditions?

You do realise that O is right now locating the academic paper that shows a higher risk from other vehicles to cyclists in icy conditions? It'll have a Gaussian in it.

And suggesting studded tyres is not obvious!?

Do you not think motorised vehicles present a greater risk in adverse weather conditions?

Bollo, I'm keeping the paper up my sleeve...

I cycled into work today about, only to be turned around and sent home as the rest of my crew had phoned in to say they couldn't make it. The question put to me was how y can you make it from outside the Borough on a bike when they can't from inside the Borough in a car ( work for a local council). Earned a few brownie points and had a nice ride as well.:birthday:

I had a similar experience, riding in to Brierley Hill to find half my office missing, and astonished i had ridden in. Apart from a couple of slippery side-roads, my route was fine. Just a little wet!
