Nike pro combat compression ss base layers, good quality mid layer (Castelli trasperante in my case), nanoflex arm warmers and showerproof outer. If you need a full rain jacket you'd be better in the pub

I'm fine with cold as long as my feet and hands are warm so have invested in Castelli 4.3.1 convertible gloves/mitts and on the look out for quality socks to go under my Northwave lined h2o overshoes

I'm not a Castelli whore, I just so happen to find good deals on them

well best to be prepared mark isn't it.

I know that neck of the woods - it's hardly all round summer - winter will be with you soon enough - like next week perhaps.

PlanetX usually have merino base layers pretty cheap if Aldi don't have them in. I use mine with an old DHB waterproof (and windproof) jacket between 10-5*C, then add a L/S cycling shirt for colder .... if I go out. :cold:

I have an aldi merino which is great when it's colder. I also have a very thin craft base layer which is ace for wicking sweat away. It gets a lot of use when it's not that cold, and for under hockey shirt and when skiing too.
