Today was a good day up until my ride home. Got into work today and I didn't have loads on so could take it at a steady pace and have a bit of a laugh and a joke.
At lunch time I decided to call my solicitor who's dealing with my RTA from June where I fractured my elbow to be told that an 1st offer had been made for £5000. He said we will go back and ask for £6000 but prob settle on £5500. Needless to say I was grinning from ear to ear planning what bike to buy next.

Then on the ride home tonight I had some old arse in a 4x4 wannabe thing cut me up so I have to slam on my brakes to join the que of traffic 2 car lengths ahead. To then have a go at me for not riding on the cycle path on the pavement. First time this has ever happened to me and i got so annoyed, so I told the facts of me being able to ride on the road, that he was stupid and dangerous for the overtake and he is now just sitting in traffic and should learn the high way code. TBH i don't think it had an effect on him at all and he will just carry on as he is but I did feel slightly better being able to ride to the front of the que and leave him just sitting there.

So a real good day bad day thing going on

Forget the idiot in the 4x4, just think about the new bike ;)

That's a quick settlement. Mine is still on going, been 13 months now, still got a fubared shoulder and back to the shoulder consultant next month...going to try and get the buggers to MRI the shoulder this time..not my blooming spine (last time worried about nerve damage..) NHS fobbing off actually....the consultant I had for the PI element said surgery would fix it...hoping his report is finished before the shoulder clinic so I can shove that in their faces........

How well has the elbow healed BTW...any long term issues ?

That's the thing with mine I only get minor problems with it at the moment in as much as it aches a bit if I hold the phone to my ear to long with that arm so can settle now. If I had major on going symptoms I would not settle no I would wait until I am fully repaired or claim for an on going injury.
