Here's some inspiration OP. The whole site of Lessonsinbadassery is full of inspirational women, but I especially liked this story of a woman who was overweight and smoked but became a successful triathlete in her age group. She did her first triathlon on a bike the wrong size that she bought from eBay. When she first started training for the triathlon she was overtaken by an 80 year old on a Boris bike. Don't ever think you don't deserve to ride a great bike.
