Hi
Can anyone recommend a good front and back light set? Looking for a set that will last good while and possibly rechargeable?

Anything I should look out for being an inexperience cycling on the road?

Many thanks in advance

Cree are imo probably the best around. Very bright and can be recharged. Look on amazon or eBay.

I've had a couple of winters out of a Moon XP300 and it has been very good. So I'd go for the Moon set of the three above. 210 lumens is useful on unlit lanes.

The Lifeline one looks good but the front light is not as bright as the Moon one.

I don't have much to say about Cateye.

I was impressed with the £5 Aldi set I got my son this week. A Smart Polaris clone running AA batteries and a nifty rear with one very bright and two smaller LEDs. You could use rechargeable batteries in those... But the Moon set would get my vote at that price point.

I can personally and highly recommend the Cateye Volt 300(front) & 50(rear) set

£60-80 on t'internet and well worth the investment.

You can get a seatpost mount for the rear for a couple of quid if you use a saddle pack that would preclude the rail mount it comes supplied with.

The 300 is enough to see by, they are USB rechargeable and will fully charge well within a day plugged into a computer if you are office based.

The batteries last a surprisingly long time between charges and are interchangeable so if you do run the front down then you can just switch for the rear to see where you are going.
