Good Hybrid bike?

Okay so I bought a Carrera Subway earlier today, it should be built by Sunday as Halfords at 'busy'. Should I edit it in anyway? Such as buying mudguards or new tires and things like that.

See, I looked at this bike and thought, great, this is the bike for me. But I was hearing some bad things about Halfords, I really want to get into cycling and I want the bike I buy to last me a while, yet I'm not sure if this would last.

dont let that worry you, ive found halfords great, even if you dont you can take it somewhere else to be set up, concentrate on which bike, i got the subway 2 very good

The Giant Roam is certainly worth looking into. Deceptively fast despite its weight and can cope with any terrain.
