it's tough. Young Tom has never been what you might call...............an actor. More a haircut. And most of his films have been dross. But, at the risk of ridicule, I am going to give it my best shot.

Top Gun. One of the most outrageous, over-the-top gay-played-as-straight films ever. Best watched in the back of a coach full of weed-frenzied students (I speak from experience). No other film could cause such merriment.

Days of Thunder. NASCAR. Does it for me.

Eyes Wide Shut. The scenes in the mansion. I know it's porn, but, with Tom in the film, you have to settle for what you can get

Minority Report. Great techy stuff and Samantha Morton is a fine actress

over to you.................

not really a fan of him myself...

He's been in a few good films but they're not good because of Cruise. However his character in Magnolias (I think it was that) suited him down to the ground... i don't think anybody else could have played the part better. A bit like Swayze in Donnie Darko, perfect casting.

I actually quite enjoyed Minority Report and Rainman, didn't think much of cocktail or TopGun when I saw them all those years ago. Managed the first Mission Impossible watching with the kids but gave up on the second one. Oh, and War of the Worlds, WTF? that was a truly dreadful adaptation and Mr Cruise was pretty dire in it as well. But it didn't have the good grace to be so bad as to be almost good like Independence Day.

Not here offten enough to argue
Sorry guys - but i like cruise and always have - no i'm not gay or anything - but for a guy that was brought up bullied and dyslexic i think he has done very well for himself.

Top Gun and Cockail are two of my favourites

He's quite a wide ranging actor - as I think this thread is already showing.

As a talent I think he's exceptional. Beliefs are maybe not for this fora.

The good film/bad film thing might coincide with him being involved/not being involved with the scientology bollocks.

Freshly brainwashed you would put in a performance like Stephen Hawing as well.
