Goodbye Alan Tracy

Actor Matt Zimmerman, famous as the voice of Alan Tracy in Thunderbirds has sadly passed away. I was lucky to meet him once along with David Graham (Brains/Parker). Also was in the Hitch Hikers Guide to the Galaxy. He mentioned that he used to get more fan mail as a fictional astronaut in the 60's than a real one, Alan Sheppard.

I once had a day out in London that culminated in a concert celebrating the centenary of Barry Gray, the composer of many a classic Anderson theme. Brian Blessed introduced the show and did the 5-4-3-2-1 Thunderbirds countdown to begin the music. It was a nostalgic blast hearing those themes live.
