If you're not sure just jump on the tube. Save the London riding for a nicer route.

To be fair it looks ok along the Euston road with the bus lane the whole way. I'm not a nervous rider at all and don't mind traffic, just got to get from A 2 B in a certain time. The Euston road I know I can't get lost. I would imagine I would keep up with traffic too so shouldn't attract anyones ire....

Blimy, I took a street view trip of the route and didn't see the underpass. Mind you it does skip around a bit.

It doesn't look too long only a hundred meters or so probably 300 with the entrance and exit. Is there plenty of time to see it and if so can I just hop onto pavement and plan a way round?

Thanks for the advice so far.

You can hop on the pavement if you want to break the law

I don't cycle much in zone 1 if I can help it but when I do, if I'm in an unfamiliar bit where I'm not certain of the lanes etc, I very often hop off and become a pedestrian for confusing junctions.
Which is the advantage of the underpass.

But I expect @Salty seadog won't find that useful, it seems the only times I have used it were both before 6 on a weekend morning. Shaves a couple of minutes off the journey though.
