I'm pretty sure you can: look for a GPX sign with a download arrow on the Google map page.
I think it's on the right of the page.
Once saved on your device, you can then add the route to your Yahoo.

Pawl. I dont know the answer. But I heard today that you can download a RWGPS file and then load it into Komoot and it will show you what type of surfaces you will be riding on.

Ive not tried it but it sounds useful.

You can send a route planned on Google Maps to your smart-phone too. I found that quite useful when in Majorca recently my Garmin seemed rather confused as to where it was and kept sending me in circles (although that could have been operator error too lol)
