off topic... I went to see the Sub Humans a couple of weeks ago. Loads of middle aged accountants had dug out their old punk gear to fit in with the old scene, or bought some brand new stuff online... desperately trying to relive the old days.

Cracking band.. tight, noisy, lots of fun.

The audience... well... 20 middle aged men... a stage dive from a 10" high stage, that was pretty funny... a crowd surf which required the entire audience to keep one person afloat.. not as good as the stage dive though.

don't give up the day job chaps.

I absolutely bloody love the Subhumans!

Have been using iTunes Match for a while and was happy with it but its £20 per year - now also copied all my music to Google Music and am using GoMusic to play the music on my iPhone so won't be wasting that £20 next year.

Ha, well approved by Google. Naughty though.

If Google supply one they no doubt have to give 30% of their music sales to Apple.

Someone with a diverse taste in music or someone who hasn't grown out of listening to pop or someone who has two kids with their own tastes. And someone for whom all three applies will struggle to keep it down to 12,000. ;)
Who's that then?

I agree. CDs feel worthless now so I might start buying vinyl again. There are a lot of labels making a real effort with their physical product.
CD's felt worthless 20 years ago... they might be shiny but they're just not big enough. That little piddly booklet with writing way too small for my middle aged eyes is nothing next to the 12" gatefold sleeve.... I mean, the St Cleve Chronicle folded in to a CD case is so wrong!

Its in users interests to always buy the CD.

With cloud music you are buying it for personal usage only.
Even loaning it to your family is 'pirating'.

This looks potentially interesting, I've been waiting for a time that I can wholesale dump everything in the cloud to make it easier to use.

When there is ipad, Android and Samsung TV apps then I'll give this another look.

It's getting there. Google / Apple for music, Dropbox for pics and random files. just need somewhere for movies / tv shows, though I suspect they may be stuck on the external drive for quite a while.

I wonder if you can use Google music to wireless sync music from the cloud.....

I'm impressed with the software and apps for Google Music (including iPad) so far.

I won't ditch physical storage just yet.

I'm now trying to update the firmware on my bluray player now, we only own two blurays but the 'apps' on the device are quite interesting.

Yes-ish. ;) My solution (well, w.e.f. 25th it will be, anyway) is for the Nexus 4 and 7 to access the music from google music and play through a Bluetooth speaker.
Tight git! You should give the Premium one a go. It sounds really good and you can stack up a ton of songs to play offline.
Yebbut I've got this theory that if I try the premium they'll never let me go back to the freebie account. If you're a shallow iPad owner, does premium work on that - not that I need to know of course?

I think my question was particularly stupid, given that you don't need to sync at all, and you can can select what tracks to download.
