hi everyone...fifteen years a Brompton owner...
But ashamed to say I haven’t used it in the last ten years.
I know!
I couldn’t bear to part with it all this time, and now think I might get back in the saddle!

Though may need to make a few repairs to make its working ok.

Any advice on things I should check for.
Pretty handy, but need to ensure it’s safe to go...with all the correct checks.

Any advice would be good.

Comfy armchair to one person & a plank to the next
Look up the M check on the cycling UK or sustrans sites, plus check the folding hinges and catches carefully for cracks or other weaknesses.

If you've not used it in 10 years new brake blocks would be a good idea.
Then...
Tyres, new tubes if replacing tyres,
Cables - brake and gear
Chain

I'd also consider switching to new style brake levers, they are more powerful and nicer to use.

The engine might need a bit of tuning too
