They are not bad locks for that money - far better than 99% of the other locks you see in use...

I've got an onguard/magnum x4 u lock - gold standard and onguard's gold standard chain (10lbs weight) on my bike - very OTT but it's in a public area and most of he student's bikes are locked with a simple cable.

The only other decent bike is usually parked next to mine once a week, but his lock is an old D-lock....
