Doesn't include the damage done to the rider though does it. Assumption being, at this point, that they are having to pay for any & all medication presribed as a result of this.

I contacted a soliciter, the quote from the shop is only for new wheels and derailer. My mudguards have broken and my helmet is cracked :/

You'd have to replace your helmet after such an incident anyway. As far as the manufacturers are concerned its done its job.

True. I didn't say the OP should agree to it, just that if the driver was offerred the option, they'd be daft not to take it.
