Worked nights as a forklift driver at a local warehouse.
After a hour of work last night i got called into the office. "were letting you go"

Applied for JSA as soon as i got home as im penniless at the moment. Got a call this morning asking me to go and see the adviser to complete the claim etc today. been there and Got treated like crap and basically told that theres not much hope of me finding another job soon. Which has in turn made me feel like crap.

Im off for a long ride on the bike..

Going to register with a agency or two tommorrow, the problem is with the FLT because i have less than 6 months experience people arent too keen on taking me on. Would love to be able to relocate to wherever the work is but its one big circle, cant afford to unless i have the money, cant get the money without a job, cant get a job around here easily... To move id have to find somewhere to store the motorbike which has been up for sale for a few months now (not easy to sell due to mods) and find the funds for somewhere to live.

thanks. Hopefully it wont take long if i keep badgering at the agencies

As long as I breathe, I attack.
How much notice have you got and what redundancy package are they offering , assuming you have been there more than 2 years.

It might be worth looking into xmas jobs to tide you over ?

Its a swine and i hope you get sorted asap.
EDIT
I dont want to get into details but have you been laid off or sacked for an incident(s) , of course this affects your options , if have sacked you without following the formal procedures , number of warnings etc etc you might be able to fight it.

I had issues at work last year for having to many occasions off ill (4 in a year ) and i was glad i was in the union as with their representation i avoided formal action due to them showing my overall work / time history .

Good luck finding something else.
A while ago I lost my job with no warning, baby on way, just got mortgage sorted and moved into new house.
Stay positive!
I registered with agencies and ended up with full time job through that.
Sometimes things kick you in the guts, but can turn out to be a blessing in disguise, can lead to bigger and better opportunities.

Sorry to read this, i have been in the same position many years ago. Best advice I can offer, you have internet access, use social media to see if anyone is setting on, email every warehouse, factory, big employer you can find within cycling distance of your home. Don't let it get you down too much, as one door closes another one opens. best of luck!

That's just what I was wondering. If you got fired for one or many serious offences then fair enough, but they can't make you redundant with no notice
I was with the company for around six months on and off, i had worked at one location as a production line operative earlier in the year and had just got back with them less than a month ago as a forklift driver. Theyre using the excuse that im not fast enough and it was a immediate thing, escorted off the premises etc. Id rather not fight it, if theyre going to be like that then thats their choice, as a result of me being sacked two "apprentices" have since walked out. so clearly people arent happy. Id rather find and work for a company that wont treat me like that.

Booked in to register with a agency that have the amazoooon contract for christmas temps tommorrow. It should get me through christmas if all goes well.
