Yebbut you'll need to switch off that traction control on a long hill or it will gradually brake and brake the car to a stop. Try it with and without; you'll be amazed.

Hee Hee. What a dunce .............

I hope she has some warm clothing in the car for later when she gets stuck again

Unreal.

I have the new version of the 318 diesel tourer that has dual traction control. All you need to do is push that button, stick the thing in second and let it idle its way off.

Mines black and I cycle, not sure where that leaves me in the scheme of previous posts.

Ah, that might explain something! I thought she'd left the car in gear (the wheels span as she started pushing) but I didn't think that was possible, thought it'd stall. Traction control would presumably explain it.

Would she stop at a bus stop in the rain and offer a lift to me? No

Would I offer to help her BMW out of the snow? No, why should I?

If she asked me however, I might help her out. But I wouldnt offer help as I know she wouldnt do the same. Its not like shes in any life threatening situation. She has supidly committed herself to using an unsuitable car for the conditions, probably for an un-nessessary journey too. <rolleyes>

I didnt record the video, I just dont share his/her criticism.

Last Friday, 17 Dec, A267 going North. Frant Hill was closed off due to cars not able to get up it and being abandoned.

Over 25pc of the cars stuck were Beemers.

Rear wheel drive + Numpty driver = Four hour journey to do 35 mile.

How do you know that? No wonder society's in a state with folk like you making assumptions about who's worth helping out and who isn't. My sympathies are all with the woman to be honest, and I hope she left a big hole in the smug twat's house and drove off without paying for the damage.

Karma in action if you ask me. Agree with the above sentiments that it doesn't take a lot to be helpful, especially at this time of year.

I see your points (Rhythm Thief and Saddle Bum) but I'm not going to singlehandedly try and save our society. We already have enough campains on CC without that one.

Im just saying I wouldn't normally go out of my way to help someone who is not clever enough to avoid that situation in the first place. I would have helped if she had asked me.

Am I being cruel?

I found your willingness to jump to conclusions about someone you knew nothing about even more objectionable than your unwillingness to offer assistance, but you seem to have mellowed a bit now.
