There is a rally in Grizedale Forest on Sunday 30 January in support of the petition:

It's worse than it sounds- buyer will have forestry rights and access to public money.

So, they'll buy the land, sell off all the timber at huge profit, then we'll pay them to replant the trees.

well... yeah... but no.... but yeah....

Am I mistaken in thinking coed llandegla forest has been privately owned since before I bought my first mtb. So private owners are capable of running things in ways that put smiles on mtb-ers faces.

The flip side is also true. Look at the dreadful PR mess FCS have made in respect of The Hub at Glentress.
