Slick my son currently works out of Aberdeen but he would use the airport parking as he usually helicopters out but sometimes by ship. Mostly he avoids problems by using ( on expenses) a one way hire car. I have had to make several visits to Aberdeen regarding a bereavement and the only longer term parking I could find was a hotel I used. Everywhere else useful is meter controlled with time limits and vigilant traffic wardens particularly in Bon Accord Square area.
Even the premier inn at the airport have lifted the barriers on the carpark and there's a nice cycle path into the city from there.

Doubt it. There's not much space there and if everyone did that... But ring Northlink & ask them.

BTW the locals get a bit upset if you talk about "the Shetlands". It should be either Shetland or the Shetland Islands.

Not a local but one time frequent visitor so I'm not entirely sure especially after all the work that has been going on lately on the harbour but I do know lots of places where I could leave my car but most of them are hotel carparks I'm afraid.

I have used Premier Inn carpark to visit ARI as hospital parking was a nightmare while the new building was going up but while staying there never noticed any signs of long stayers. Must check on ones nearer the airport where there are more likely to be long stayers. Not sure how happy the hotels would be if their overnight guests could not get in as any parking seems to get jammed pretty quickly. Before the present system some were obviously using the hospital car park and getting a bus into town. Anti social b’s as I was trying to park to visit which often took s long time.
