There seems to be less technical info than usual this year. Does anyone have the link to the road book, or more detailed maps/road numbers the race will be going on?

Hi. Has anyone seen a decent map of the Grand Depart in Lille this July? We are going and I'm trying to work out where is best to stay. I've found a social media post that implies it starts around Loos rather than Lille centre (which seems weird) but no more detail than that. Thanks.

So I just googlemapped what appears to be the start line for the Grand Depart and it's about a grand as a Tesco carpark. Wide, bland suburban boulevard. I was expecting a bit more oomph! Are they really going to kick off from a random road junction?

More room to park up all the team buses etc than on a quaint cobbled street!

Just wait until the tour circus is set up all over it. The streets used in Leeds weren't small by any measure, but the Tour stuff didn't fit and spilled over into neighbouring areas, so you had to choose which bit you wanted to see properly and which you'd be 20 rows back, if you got in sight at all. Probably better to have it in a larger road where people can see more and move around more easily.
