Back home after the 52 mile. Time was 2:45:31.

Most folk were very well behaved. Did see the aftermath of two crashes with first aid in attention. Hope everyone was ok.

Well done.
I did 26 miles in 1.58.13, but that includes 25 minutes for a puncture! The support team were busy so a police motorcyclist helped me. He only had pliers and a screwdriver! I hadn't packed my spoons! It was a piece of glass. I'm disappointed that my time shows a slower time than last year.

I didn't see any incidents other than people with punctures.

There was one incident of unnecessary rudeness. I was going up hill at about 15 mph, which is good for me. I'd overtaken some strugglers and was about two thirds over in the inside lane. The outside lane was completly empty. A large peleton undertook me at high speed and the leader shouted I should be on the left if I was going slow. There was loads of room all round , they didn't need to stick together in a pack like glue. All the rest of the ride everyone was so friendly, going around each other whichever side there was a gap.

Agreed, for the most part the ride was excellent. But as you said Katherine some of those faster riders are knobs, the event is not a race but they take no notice.Yes,we have our own goals and like to better our times but not at the risk of others.

I saw a four bike crash near Macari`s chippy at the side of Old Trafford, they where speeding along towards a tight hairpin bend and came acropper, all four went down.Serves them right, everyone could see it was tight and needed to slow down but they thought they where above all that.I laughed to myself when they came to ground and where still there as i re-emerged from the other side a few minutes later.Hahahahaha

As predicted quite a bit slower than last year 2:40 for the 52. Still a good fun ride, didn't see as many crashes this year, but there was a guy down right on a hairpin, I know that people should ride more slowly and take more care, but some of those bends are ridiculous.

2hrs22 in one of those naughty speeding pelotons!

Much better than last year, didn't see any tri bars, route was much improved with the two sharp hairpins removed and a more sensible set of corners around OT.

Got myself in a big group, and whilst we were riding very fast everyone was pretty polite, the route is plenty big enough for some speedy pelotons over the 52 as long as they accept they will have to slow on occasion and others ride sensibly. Well chuffed with my time, lost a minute or two as thighs cramped up over last two miles.
