I didn't take any risks, i slowed, took the corners tight, excellerated away, over taking people who'd caught me on the straights. There was plenty of room especially on the second lap when everyone was quite spread out.

FYI I've just seen he's offered this elsewhere and has got someone interested in it, but so far at 21:05 they haven't committed, but you might need to be quick if you want it.

Yeah I never got with any groups for any real length of time so I'm quite pleased with my time given my lack of miles recently.

One Marshall at the start like clocked me and started trying to stop me but I managed to pedal off. No one else seemed to care in the slightest after that

Did the 26 in 1 :22 :26 6 minutes 17 faster than last year :-)

Nearly got caught in one crash, Where the course narrowed on Wharfside way (just after Old Trafford) there was a slower group infront and a faster group overtaking me, the front of the group slowed as they got to the slower group and i saw the guy at the back ancher up and the back wheel lift. I swerved to my left looked down as I passed him and had 1 - 2 inches to spare He was about 10 ft infront of me and i managed to shoulder check and swerve. Saw him sat on the central reservation recievin medical attention as I passed the the other way about 5 mins later. Hope he wasn't to badly hurt.

Good ride and most people were happy and polite making it a very enjoyable day :-)

Because it's safer to let you continue than to try and stop you.

Well done everyone , glad we all made in round & intact . I managed 1-40 for the 26 miler , 5 mins slower than last year , even though I seemed to be trying harder ! Bit disappointed but having worked 60 hr + for the last one & half months not too bad

I think there was definitely more wind this year, quite noticeable on the straights.

It was calmer earlier on, but I noticed more wind towards the end, was not happy when it started raining thankfully it didnt last long, just one time i'd like it to be sunny for a bit.

I bought the cheapest pack last year because I wanted a decent pic of me on my bike, this year i'll pass.
