I didn't see any rain!!!

I saw some light rain about halfway through come back toward Mancunian Way from Old Trafford. Didn't last long at all and was kind of refreshing.

The 52 starts at 8am so I was finished at 10:40 so if you were doing the 26 I'd finished before you started and it was alot cooler before 11.

Just seen the pictures tonight , you would think they would sell a lot more if they didn't charge such a daft amount . I won't buy any cos you can't even see the pictures properly ! Must admit I didn't see any rain but did find it pretty muggy & energy sapping this year . All in all I found everyone very polite & friendly again although I'm sure I heard one bloke towards the end shouting "get out of the way "as he sped past at a rate of knots . The whole event is a credit to the people of Manchester who I've always found very friendly & helpful  . Been for my leg op today & all is well , will be off the bike & work for a while :wahhey:But I'll I'll get a bit more time to spend on the forum for a change .

Glad you had a good day and that the leg op went well. I did see someone wearing a shin pad, I don't suppose that was you? Best wishes for your recuperation.
I agree about the photos. I have a silly grin in mine, as I have in the last 2 years, just enjoying the experience too much! Nice to watch the finish video though.

Cheers Katherine , no it wasn't me in the shin pads . I went with sports support tights under my shorts but cos they're tight they caused cramp in my calfs at times ^_^. Good to hear you enjoyed the ride just as much despite the puncture  I enjoyed playing back the video too , but after the fifth time with my wife & daughter cheering like idiots it became a little embarrassing  Don't know if anyone noticed that the time on the finish line was no where near the time you were given .

The clock at the finish was the actual time.
