Great ride last night

Nothing spectacular about last nights ride, 15 miles or so however, it was the first time I had been able to get out for about a week due to work and family commitments, it simply felt great to be out on my bike.

yeh , it is a great feeling. Haven't been out for two days but will be out tonight ( after the TDF). I ride according to my mood. Sometimes I just take it easy and enjoy looking around me, other times, I just go like the clappers.
The trouble is, if I take it easy, I feel I wont benefit physically from the exercise, which is the idea of riding really.
It is also a great way to clear your mind, with no distraction ( other than traffic) .
