It's been 46 degrees or thereabouts for the last few days which is too hot. Tomorrow is my wedding anniversary and the temperature is forecast to drop to 38 so it'll be a morning out on the bike for me. All I have to do is make sure I'm home by noon in order to get to the restaurant on time...

Good to have some decent weather for a change, it has been in short supply so far this spring / summer and today I perhaps found out why. I was out or a ride and stopped for a cake break in Tarleton near Preston when a pleasant old chap started chatting to me and remarked on how much better the weather was than yesterday, albeit still rather windy. He told me that a friend of his who is a farmer says that if there is an easterly wind at the Spring Equinox, it will be an unsettled summer and you won't get rid of the wind much all year - presumably the wind blew from the east during this year's Spring Equinox then. So as to make hay while the sun shines, I'll be out early tomorrow cycling from Southport into the light southerly wind, that is forecast, to Liverpool and then getting a fan assisted ride home through the countryside around Kirkby / Melling, Maghull, Aughton and Ormskirk. If I leave it until later, I might even take a stop at one of my favourite canal side pubs for a pleasant beer in the sunshine. :bicycle::sun::popcorn:

Went out today, enjoyed myself, and Im going out tomorrow come what may.I could feel myself getting twitchy not having been out since Sunday! So, domestic matters will take second place, the garden can grow Triffids for all I care, and the Tour is on in the evening,so thats that.Quite how the rest of the world will manage without my apparently invaluable help,I dont know, but they will just have to manage^_^.

thought theyd let you have the day off to test your new bike, gits:laugh:

I'm working:angry:

I'm supposed to finish at 12:30, but that not guaranteed, I've also got a very important errand to run, but you never know I might manage to sneak a little one in somewhere.
