are you saying the 'politicos' has some kind of long term conspiratorial plan for him back then???
No, it can be a short term fast track plan^_^, no pun intended.
Reading the Zola Budd story it's clear that the situation regarding nationality claimed by professional sportspeople is farcical and that using the country of birth would be more logical.

Anyway.. It's the use of the word 'Greatest' that is the debating point really.. and much like creating the 'Perfect' scone or having the 'Best' bike.. it doesn't exist.
Right, who's for a cuppa? (What's the best tea...
...
...
in the world?)

ALL British athletes that benefit fiscally from BRITISH nationality/government funding/training facilities should IMO live/train/win in the UK

Are you saying that we should fund elite athletes to live/train elsewhere (because the UK isn't good enough?) and that the only requirement to scoff from the trough is to fill a trophy cabinet and pose for a few pics with fans before diving into the VIP lounge at Heathrow departures?

Ok, I'm with you now. So this is really about UK funding policy - and nothing to do with where Farah was born? You should have said at the start...

No - You tell me - I stated my case, now answer yours......Why is it a good job Farah wasn't born in Zaire?

Because he'd now be running for the Democratic Republic of Congo - ok sherlock?

Which just goes to show how irrelevant someone's birthplace actually is. I'm surprised I had to spell that out to you, if I'm honest.
