Just signed up, a very overweight amateur here... but getting out on my cheap old mountain bike a wee bit and just lately doing 4 or 5 slow miles a day to help along my slow weight loss.

Hello and :welcome: - I'm new here too and took up cycling as a way to lose weight. Been amazed at how quickly the miles build up - just get out as often as you can, and don't be worried about doing small distances, go at your own speed and don't be intimidated. If I can do this, I know you can! Keep going!!
