Patches of diesel on the damp roads will cause havoc, even if you're running a tractor tyre, but I agree with a lot of the posts above in that the stock tyres on the Giant aren't great (from what I've seen). The Schwalbe Lugano's currently on my Felt seem to perform pretty well in all conditions, and you won't need to re-mortgage your house to buy a pair!

£32.99 each at halfords with British cycling 10% off that's £28.80 each, not too bad considering I also just got £20 from the bank to spend at halfords on a rewards scheme! Thanks for the tip @MikeW-71

Halfords have e-mailed me to apologies, they won't be getting any new stock for a long time. ARG! Ok, will stick with the winter tyres until spring
