I have tubular foam grips on all my bar ends, I used these from Dotbike:-

Should certainly be doable. Thing to check is the diameter of the bar ends. If they are bigger than standard bars, then grips won't fit on, as they tend to be a push-on tight fit. If smaller, push on grips might not grip. If the same, just buy some grips, preferably nice flexible ones to accommodate the bend. You can often get rubber grips quite cheap in non bike shops - my local discount general store often has them along with cheap LED lights and repair kits etc.

If they aren't the right diameter, you could wrap them with bar tape (you won't need as much as a roll, maybe you could blag a spare bit from a fellow cyclist, or even your local bike shop? Although you can get it pretty cheap. Or wrap them with something non bike specific - some sort of pipe lagging (that dense foam stuff), or even just wrap them with fabric tape, which you can get in a haberdashery shop.
