Group work

Dam it got my group work score back today. Due to the numpties in my group we only got an overall score of 32% out of 50%. Meaning I'm going to have to work dam hard to get a merit.

Had a chat and the course tutor said that it was because of my strengths and my power to use my own resources that the group got that score.

Me thinks if I was in a better group I have got a decent grade.


On a lighter note got my survey work back and I got 70% so well on my way to getting a merit there.

The marks will be averaged out over the three assignments I think, its worked out in some strange way.

A first? me? I used to get good marks at Liverpool John Moores, maybe I've got it back?.... Cool.

Unfortunately its a merit at Askham Bryan. I need to get a distinction if I wish to do the top up year after my second one. Distinctions are 80% +.

I'm quite chuffed with my mark though...

You aren't doing maths there, are you!

I think what you are saying is that the group assignment was worth 50% of the final total and that your group got 32%. If that is correct, as Arch says, that's a real 64% of the total you could have scored, which sounds pretty to me.

The downside is that you need to get 48 out of the available 50 you still have to do to get a distinction, so good luck with that!

IIRC, if you find the girl a pain in the arse, you are doing it the wrong way round.
