Hi has anybody upgraded the drivetrain on your ebike, have 8 speed shimano acrera with flatbar shifter, any suggestions, thanks

Don't have an ebike, but unless you have a real issue with your current drivetrain, benefits will be minimal.
Cassettes and chains are consumables, so these need to be changed as they wear out, but everything else should last for ages.

The question to ask yourself is whether the gearing range is enough for you. If it is, then stick with your 8sp, they are tough as nails.

iv kept one at 9 spd original and the other i switched to 11spd as i wanted the 10/42 cassette for commuting

Is it adjusted properly? Do you have a good deralleur?
My ebike runs on 8sp with 15yr old deore components and it is faultless. It does not shift as quick or as slick as a modern 11sp drivetrain but there is no need for that either.
