I know there are lots of these threads but I would like to get this off my chest

Cycling along yesterday in the sun on a wide suburban road (plenty of room for cars and bike etc) Suddenly horn beeping from behind to make me look round just in time for a silver corsa passing me with the nearside young peanut giving me a w*nking gesture. Absolutely no reason for it except that something in this guys brain was telling him it was a good thing to do didn't gesture back or shout but now feel I should have done just to make me feel better sooo annoying
They only just got through the next lights other wise I would have been alongside them I would really like to have said something that really annoyed them but would probably have chickened out !

What sort of useful discussion could you possibly have with someone who behaves like that?

It's beneath contempt. Let it go.

You could report it as a gesture intended to alarm and offend if you really wanted to,

but at the end of the day, they probably just left work at one mcdonalds and are on their way to hang out at another for the rest of the day.

A bit of an aggressive shout to make little billy crap himself and wonder that next time, said cyclist might just go phsyco on his arse.

Or do nothing, let it go, for them to do it another day - in their cloak of invinsibility tin.

A very large handgun would be a comfort on such occasions.

Without one, it's probably best not to give such idiots the reaction they're looking for.

but, but, sledge hammers are more fun

where was it on here that someone said about a similar incident... a car full of idiots shouting... then the cyclist found the car parked in a deserted lot and let the air out the tyres....

Not too long ago a cyclist posted on here he caught up with a car of chavs that had abused him / thrown something at him. An altercation took place, the cyclist then legged it, but was caught by the pursuing chavs who gave him a good 'kicking'.
