Keep going Cathryn. It's fantastic that you're still cycling! Be warned though. My sister was convinced she was going to go past her due date but was actually early. Get that bag packed!

Mrs Pm has just reminded me of something we played once the kids were a few months old and just starting to sit up by themselves, the 'baby left, baby right' game. Sit baby on bed with a pillow either side and try to guess which way they will fall over. Only works for a very short time before they learn to keep their balance. Used to end up with all of us laughing/gurgling.

My electron nano arrived today (well, yesterday but I only got it today). It's fabulous!! SO bright. I can't wait to use it tomorrow. I shall have to cycle in the dark just for the sheer hell of using it. Thanks everyone for the recommendation!!!

I am now imagining you arriving on reception at the Women's hospital in 3 week's time, complete with cycle helmet and SPD shoes, panniers full of night clothes:

Nano takes 4 x AAA - don't know how long they last as I just change them over for a fresh set from the charger when they look a bit dim. And for the rear light you can't beat the smart superflash for cheap bright!!! Still £8 at wiggle - I ordered another 2 yesterday. You can even buy a bracket to go on the end of a rack that fits the smart light - but I can't remember where that is from.
One bad point about the nano (as with many front lights) there is no side view of the light - its all forward. But the light fits easily into your pocket and feels like a torch to hold. Don't always find the switch the easiest to use with gloves on but not absolutely awful.
No idea if the clamp will fit around the taped bars though.
