Guess the year of this Auto Trader charity shop buy

I saw a Renault 5 on the local Tesco carpark this evening. It was a 1989 G reg, silver grey one. I would've taken some pics of it, but it was peeing it down, so I didn't fancy stopping my car and getting out.

Probably one of the last Renault 5's made. I drove a Renault 5 GTI or whatever, but it was the most powerful they made, up to the Lake District in 1979 while working as a car deliverer, general dogsbody in a local car Renault car dealers. I must've done an average speed of 90mph not through choice, but because I had to follow the driver/car going with me to take me back to base. It was quite fun, but I'd poop myself if I had to do it now!🙄
