Rabbit pie?
Used to be regular part of my diet as a kid in Darlington. Quite a few families bred rabbits as a food source including my own. I never made the connection between a 'disappearance' and an appearance en croute. I was too trusting. "Benji has died" was honest but hid the true nature of his death. Serving him as 'meat pie' to his doting six year old carer was dishonest.
I still eat rabbit whenever I see it on the menu.
