There's quite a bit of tuition available on the internet. A couple of weeks after buying the guitar my "play money" was reduced to zero so I needed something free. I still go back to Justin Sandercoe's website every now and then The beginner lessons are excellent. Still, having someone watch as you play is a huge help.
Just did a quick search for Rocksmith and this thread arrived. I've been trying to learn guitar for around a year and I've only recently had a teeny bit of success. I have just about got the first half of Gary Moore's Parisienne Walkways near enough perfected. I am using CDLC through Rocksmith on Steam, which is amazing. The Justin site is very good. I just started at the beginning and using the anchor finger and alternate A chord for D, A, E chords is really very helpful. I am on my Minute changes lessons now!

Thanks for pointing the site out. I think I'll stick with it. I Sooooo want to be able to play guitar.

I have an Aria STG.

Yep, I've heard that they're very good and a quick search shows that they're reasonably priced on the 'Bay.

No Squier models can be really cheap, depends on where they were made and how good they are, (although a proper set-up can work wonders)

Always wanted to learn acoustic guitar. Bought one 15 years ago and haven't made much progress yet.
It hasn't been out of the cupboard in two months, but I'll probably try some 'Bad Moon Rising' in the morning (once the wife and kids have gone out).

I currently only have an Ibanez Gio in walnut. I would recommend them to anyone for a sub £200 guitar. I've played loads over the years, and a friend of mine has about 8 guitars - none of them IMHO play as nicely as the Gio.

I agree, my Sgt had a Pacifica 112 in natural, it was a cracking guitar, way better than it's price suggested.
Heres my Pacifica and my old Tanglewood, both nice to play...if only the guitarist was better

No not at all, didn't buy it though.
Got myself a MIM Tele instead, which cost considerably more than £90!
