Gutted....bike stolen

I'm absolutely gutted and very angry as my Trek hybrid was stolen from the bikerack in the office carpark this morning.

It was secured with 2 large locks which appear to have been cut through with boltcutters

Anyway, at least it was insured.

I'd have a word with an individual by the name of Mr L Armstrong....he's known to be in the area at the moment and has a propensity for Trek bicycles

Have you got a photo of it? Don't just trust the Police to reunite you with it - they might find it but unless they've got a good DBase system nothing will happen. You could try offering a cash reward.

It is so annoying when something is stolen from you, hope you get it back and that the thief is well and truly hammered!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Bike theft is up 300% (or some stupid figure.. cant remember) in South Kent according to the local rag i read the other day.

More and more being nabbed from back gardens, sheds and garages!

Rotten luck - commiserations. It occurs to me to wonder whether it might be posible to claim on your employer's insurance rather than yours? There must be some kind of liability involved, since it happened in their car park. Claims tend to have a nasty impact on future premiums in my experience...

Its the 2nd bike stolen from the bike rack in our office car park hence the reason I had 2 locks securing it. One of which was a heavy duty chain usually used for securing motorbikes and scooters.

I have estimated that to replace the bike plus accessories and locks is in the region of £550
