I certainly won't be buying him porn, I find it utterly distasteful and degrading I'm afraid.

Yes, it was a joke and so do I. I know guys who go to strip joints, watch porn films etc and to me it says a lot about someone that they can see a woman/girl as just an object for their pleasure with no regard for her life as a human being. Many of the young girls involved in this trade are abused, drugged, exploited and virtual if not actual prisoners. How can anyone ignore that and see her just as a body? Sickening.

and was proudly shown a pedometer watch which my ex's partner has bought him for his birthday. I am majorly hacked off, mine is a much better specimen

Three pieces of hard advice:

Be happy that your ex's partner has taken the time to get to know what your son would appreciate as a present and hasn't opted for the obvious useless no-thought-required stuff themselves

Improve communications with your ex so that you both know what's going on where your son is concerned

Stop acting like a spoilt child yourself 'Waah - want him to like my present best'

I am delighted that she makes an effort with the boys and they get on well with her despite the pain that causes me. I wish I could hate her but I can't because actually she seems to be a nice person and yes I am the first to admit that I must have done something wrong for him to want to leave, and I quote 'spends too much time looking after the family and home'. Quite simply I am just disappointed, after all his dad has already bought him a computer for his birthday (well half he saved the rest) was there a need for anything else.

Of course your dissapointed, who wouldnt be if a present was almost duplicated before yours was given.Any chance of just changing it for something else, maybe even hinting what is his favoured want?Something else that will make him smile?

Ah, you have very tall orders as a mother! I can't really help but if you're planning it in November then I don't think they'll be disappointed with whatever you get .
