Thanks for posting that link. I had actually found it myself the other day but its a great insight into what buying a bike was like in those days. I remembered the shop but can't remember if I actually saw 'Doc' Green or a shop worker. I do remember they were very helpful and did the respray exactly as I had requested. One reason for taking it there was so I could get proper H.E. Green transfers on it and the other reason was that I thought they would do a good job on it because they had made it. I can't remember now how much it cost to have the respray but it couldn't have been too much as I wasn't earning a fortune!

btw that Classic Lightweights site has a lot of bikes I remember seeing.
