Excellent vid Gaz. Strange he didn't have a rear light yet looks like he had a red light on the front of his bike.

Excellent vid Gaz. You can see he's enjoying it as much as you

Croydon you say, it's a bit out of my way but maybe one day I'll venture down. I don't see any riders worth taking on on my commute. Lots of pootlers and ones that get in front of me at traffic lights, but hardly any roadies.

Didn't get it that he had no rear light, but had reflectives and front lights (possibly a red as well) - strange.

Nice vid - Muvi/MD80 's ?

Your rear-facing camera seems to cope with the light levels a lot better than the forward facing one - are they different makes?

I guess your eyesight is far better than the forward camera - he looked like a ninja from behind - all I could see on the vid were small flashes from the reflective bits at the bottom of his legs!

Good race, though!

Isn't the rear cam a MUVI clone? Top fun! I had someone chasing me down from Southwark to Archway two nights ago. Had a chat at the lights a few times and mentioned this place as he was asking about the camera. I finally lost him with a brisk climb of Archway Road, I heard a strangled "goodnight" from behind me as I pulled ahead.

Great video, nice editing from the two cameras.

There's a couple of times that I brought my arms in, even though I'm sitting at home, because the gaps looked small, but I'm pretty sure I'd have taken them myself. Funny how the camera distorts.

I think that the "red light" apparently on the front of the other guy's bike is a standard white reflector. At a guess, Gaz's camera is mounted near his rear light and it is Gaz's red rear light which is giving colour to the other chap's reflector.

I'm also wondering whether the other chap realised he didn't have a rear light. He takes some pretty strong positions (starting around 3 minutes in) and I don't see him make a single shoulder check. I'd probably be nervous as hell riding that road at night anyway but there's no way I'd ever ride like that without a rear light.

That was his front reflector.

There aren't many in croydon.. maybe 2 or 3.

He didn't even have any lights on the rear as well, so it's not like he forgot them.
It's a muvi, got a good deal so snapped it up.

The rear one is a muvi and the helmet mounted one is a contourHD, due to the different positions they pick up the street and headlights differently. So on my front one it may look like this guy is compleatly invisible, but in truth you can see him easy if you are there.

It's a muvi.. I was going to have a chat with this guy, but he didn't hang around next to me for long.

Did he have no lights on the back at all? Just speculating perhaps they ran out and he didn't realise - wouldn't have thought someone in all that gear wouldn't think of having lights on the back. Although he was a jumper...

riding in that sort of traffic in the dark with no lights?

granted he has a go but he's had it straight after he retakes you

Gaz, good vid - well edited and really fun to watch!

I reckon you won that one with the gap you created - he had to chase you down for that. Though can't for the life of me work out why the guy has no lights!
