Lol, well i cut my hair short about 6 or so years ago, honestly i still miss it but the front is to thin now to grow it out.
however pony of a 50yo? rock on! hehe

Started losing my hair at 40, wasn't bothered one bit and at 49 with a 2, I couldn't care less. Might have felt differently if it'd started to go 20 years earlier, who knows? Have a friend with a 1980's transplant, little clumps all over his frontal area, depression and a fridge full of Regain, I can't understand him, hair loss affects blokes in different ways.

Funny how the cropped/bald haircut has become totally "acceptable" at the same time that transplants have.

Mine started to go when I was quite young, and it did bother me at first, but then several years later I caught sight of the wispy-naffness and varying thicknesses remaining and thought "that looks bad - time to get it down to all one length and consistency."

Never looked back since and I do like the ease of maintenance too.

I suppose that could be classed as a vain action in itself, but as for having it nailed back on - not for me thanks. I'd look odd with hair now anyway!

Mr Bluebell is bald, and so goes for the number one cut option. I think it's great, especially when he's just shaved - it's like stroking a mouse! Very lovely

Now a comb-over....I used to have a teacher at school, come to think of it, lots of teachers, especially in the history and RE departments who had comb-overs, just criminal, especially on a windy day when it all detaches and flaps everywhere!!!!!

So does the transplanted hair grow? Is it like real hair, or is it just plugged in to your scalp to fill the gaps?

Apparently the hair follicles that are transplanted to the balding areas are genetically resistant to going bald (as they come from the back of the head), they will continue to grow for a life time – just as if they had been left in the bald resistant donor area. So it is real hair.

Still wouldn't have it done though - we all know that a bald pate is just a solar panel for a sex machine
